What Is The Best Blue Ray Laptop

The computers had really evolved in the last years. And this is because each of its components got better and better. The monitors got lighter, thinner but with a larger display screen, the hard drives got bigger and bigger, the processors got faster and faster and the list can go on with each single component. And of course the optical drives got better too. Many years ago people were using floppy discs (the optical drive was the floppy drive), devices that had a very small storage space of just 1.44 MB.
In time there appeared the CD-s which had a much bigger space of around 600 MB. And of course you couldn’t insert a CD into a floppy disc drive, so this way there were made the CD drives. But the technology continued to evolved, and there appeared even bigger storage devices – the DVD-s, that have a space of around 4 GB ( around 4,000 MB). And a DVD can be inserted into a DVD drive, which can also read and write CD-s too. The DVD-s remain the top technology in this domain for a period, but after that engineers came up with the Blu ray discs. A Blu ray disc has an even bigger capacity – 25 GB or even more, and it has to be inserted in a CD/DVD drive with Blu Ray support. So just imagine how much the technology evolved…not so many years ago people were using floppy discs of just 1.44 MB, and now they are using Blu ray discs of 25 GB (around 25,000 MB).

And 25 GB is just for a regular blu ray drive, but there are some with even 200 GB (200,000 MB!!!).
The Blu ray disc drives can be found on many laptops these days. But the most popular drive remains the DVD drive, which is found on most of the laptops. The Blu ray technology is still not so accessible to anyone, and it can be found just on the premium laptops. But in a few years from now we will definitely see Blu ray disc drives on any laptop, even on the most cheap ones.

I know that Sony VAIO laptops are amongst the most popular ones when it comes to units which have Blu-ray optical drives but HP Pavilion laptops are also a good choice in this direction. Maybe I’m just not the biggest Sony VAIO fan so you don’t have to take my word for it, but I like HP Pavilion laptops way more than I like VAIO ones. Maybe it’s because the Pavilion line has designed affordable units ever since we can remember and everyone could afford to buy a Pavilion laptop anytime. Anyway, i am a big fan of Blu-ray optical drives because you can watch HD movies on your laptop. Even better, if your laptop comes with HDMI, you can watch movies on a big HD TV.
