Lenovo ThinkPad W510 Reviewed

Published by OnlyBestLaptops, on Sep 18 2010, in the categories: lenovo

Lenovo ThinkPad W510 is one workstation notebook offers 15.6-inch Intel Core i7 processor and NVIDIA Quadro FX 880M graphics. New on this model year is 1080p touchscreen optional multi-color and built in 95% of Huey Pro color calibration system. This review, we will take a detailed overview of the workstation ThinkPad W510 Mobile evaluate their own work in this area.

Construction and Design
Compared to the previous generation 15-inch ThinkPad, Lenovo has done a lot of settings design, with W510. For beginners, the display hinges are the same width, while the right side before the soul was much closer. Another change is when the ThinkPad is open, the screen itself is at the heart of equality eye width on two sides. Uneven across the screen were found to be annoying to some users of ThinkPad and Lenovo, it’s nice to see the end of the address of the element of strange design. In general, Lenovo has done a great job keeping new ThinkPad models like previous generations. Some changes have been made to update the touchpad, the ThinkPad logo and the placement of the port, but no street instantly recognize the brand.

Screen and speakers
Includes a brand new Lenovo ThinkPad W510 option screen multi-touch. This panel has a resolution of 1920×1080, a wide color gamut of 95% and an LED backlight. We measured the peak brightness of 215cd/m2, with the backlight at 100%, which is more clear that this office should be fully visible in bright conditions. Compared with the previous ThinkPad screens, ranks slightly below the W510 X200 Tablet, we have achieved in terms of quality of the panel. Saturation has been well above average, making it a big screen for designers, but the average user uncomfortable. If you are accustomed to viewing a normal LCD screen, which is between 70-80% color gamut, display screen, it seems rather odd saturated colors. It’s not, screen, does the problem yourself, it’s just a great attribute of color on the screen. Viewing angles are average, distort or invert the colors when tilted 15-20 degrees forward or backward. Great choice of colors seems to look a little, but only because the colors seem to always Äúnormal, honor, even if they have lost most of its power. Horizontal viewing angles are good for about 70 degrees before the touch layer began to block the output of light.

The keyboard and touchpad
ThinkPad W510, a keyboard s is convenient to write simply and to live up to the reputation of the famous ThinkPad keyboard. This is an excellent contribution shows little flex even more pressure. tactile feedback is very precise mechanism of the soul and the key to a secure top that doesn’t show any deception. The keyboard is the newest design and is now considered, firstly T410 T400s. The layout makes the position of some function keys and adds a series of hot keys to change the volume and mute the speakers and microphones. Another subtle change has reduced the difference between each key, which supposedly reduces the possibility of crumbs underfoot.

Ports and Features
W510 offers a wide range of ports and features. USB3 Port SuperSpeed selection includes two ports, one USB 2.0 port, an eSATA / USB combo port, FireWire 400, WiFi, modem, VGA, DisplayPort and-out, and headphone ports combo mic /. The laptop also seems an ExpressCard/34 slot, SDHC card reader and a Blu-ray.

MSI Wind Reviewed

Published by OnlyBestLaptops, on Sep 18 2010, in the categories: MSI

This 10″ netbook makes some feature of the standouts very nice price point. It has Bluetooth, Wirless b / g / n, LED backlighting, and this model is sporting a hefty 6-C ELL battery pack – toting the battery life of approximately 6 hours (3 of 3 – Cell). Of course, now the standard netbooks, Intel Atom processor – but other variables may occur. This model has 1 GB of RAM, 160GB hard drive, and came with a nice little carrying bag.

Design
MSI Wind – which they have coined as the abbreviation for “Wi-Fi Network Device” is the newest offering from MSI Netbook. This 10 “LCD screen netbook comes a few different configurations and colors – in our model, we ordered a” white “model (not love edition, either as a fun little heart designs throughout it), and sports some decent sex appeal. LCD bezel is not too large, latchless LCD design is always a plus. There is a simple series of LED lights to tell the status of a normal network / HDD operations have unibody and touchpad button (which is something to discuss at a later date)

Keyboard:
MSI Wind’s keyboard is actually a very tactile. He offered a large travel distance and the noise was minimal. The layout is very familiar, with only gripes from the crowd whether the function is not used where it is. You can not win them all – but I have no complaints about their keyboard. This is a plus, it is also a white (non-backlit), but it offers better visibility in extreme shade. There was some flex, but not in amounts that would need this bad. I did notice, however, that the keys in the region were longer than the others (corners, edges) and was very, very close to hitting the LCD, the time to show how well it holds up to abuse bloggers / travelers will put it through, but my thoughts are that it hold good.

Display Quality:
Being LED backlit, LCD 1024×600 resolution to carry on the MSI Wind and it is matte finish. MSI seems to be a little push on the color green – but more importantly, the MSI Wind is an amazing viewing angles as compared to similar netbooks. I was to be successful in almost 180 degrees from left to right without any serious color shifting, and although he did not have a glossy, color representation was very nice. Get a darker and better “contrast” glossy screen (such as the Aspire One), but the tradeoffs are that it produces extreme glare, and from what I’ve found very limited viewing angles.
By contrast, a little small, but it isn’ta huge concern for netbook – it contains no optical drive full of video content (although, you can watch the video, but this is not an optical media).
Communication
MSI Wind, a lot of other netbooks, has some consideration as to how you want to use this connectivity unit is installed. Most if not all netbooks offer at least one USB 2.0 port, but nothing after that is kind to the manufacturers.
Battery Performance
With a hefty 6 cell battery feeds the 10 “LED backlit netbook – the thing seemed to last for ages. This is not as long as the potty close to 9 hours with the x200 – but we’re only little things efficiently around 6 hours was exhausting. I love computers, but if things are going to burn that long, my eyes hurt, my hands are sore, and I usually have a neck cramp from hunched over.

Fujitsu-Siemens Vs Sony Vaio

Published by OnlyBestLaptops, on Sep 17 2010, in the categories: Fujitsu, Sony Vaio

What is an ultra-portable?
If everyone already has almost seen / used a laptop in broad terms, the ultra-portable for the most unknown part, it seems interesting to make some point before the duel begins the day really. It must first know that the point of view taken into account, the ultra-portable categories may group actually quite different machines. It is commonly accepted that ultra-mobile can not acknowledge more than two kilos on the scales and dimensions must remain in “reduced”. Some go even further by limiting the ultra-portable machines below the A4 and not exceeding the threshold of 1 500 grams.

If these disputes grocers have little importance, however, includes the ultra-portable machines can be grouped actually quite different and it was in fact one of our major findings was the comparative 2005. We were testing the models 10, 12 and 13 inches with highly different characteristics. Today and while this comparison is still relevant, we have decided to do a lot easier by testing the changes in two of the best machines in the previous case. Fujitsu-Siemens and Sony on one side to the other quite often do change their product lines and end 2005/early 2006, it was the turn of the 10.6-inch models.

Fujitsu-Siemens P7120
Very famous in Japan, Fujitsu has been offering them for many years now ultra-portable computers. The example of the previous range of the manufacturer is particularly eloquent in this respect. If some versions were released here, the Japanese have had them for the opportunity to see spend no less than eight versions of the product to the latest version, the T75. This range has also been a huge success around the world and led to greater awareness on behalf of Fujitsu in France. At home, the builder was often associated with supermarkets machines and ultra-portables have been a very good opportunity to change this picture not necessarily very positive. The success was the appointment, Fujitsu has decided to move up a gear with the P7120 and the gap between the Japanese releases, the U.S., Europe has been much shorter.

Sony TX1XP / B
Sony is without doubt one of the most active builders in the area of portable, while the S range (13.3-inch screen machine) is constantly renewed, the Japanese manufacturer seemed more timid with its range of ultra 10.6 inches. It will for example not until nearly eighteen months before seeing a new range, while at the same time, Sony changed three times its models S. This remark is, however, may be more accurate as last year since Sony has already announced a new version of its TX. Thus, as we say at the end of page, the model we tested is dying, replaced by the TX2XP / B. Fortunately, the changes are really minor and it has virtually no influence on the outcome of this test.

For those who want to save bit processor can reduce the level still respectable Intel Pentium Dual Core T4300. A computer with 4 GB of DDR2 RAM.
