What are netbook computers? Well, they are highly portable and inexpensive computers that people who are on the move and need to stay connected use. In what follows, there will be presented a few such netbook laptop computers, and if you are always on the road because of work or out of pleasure, than you might consider buying one of these babies.

First on the list is the Aspire One 532h netbook, that is very cheap – only $300 – and that has an Atom N450 processor that is powered by 1GB of RAM. If most manufacturers skimp on the batteries, Acer provides a 6-Cell battery, whose life is better than most of the others netbook that have a battery of the same size, even though it doesn’t last that long. Moreover, on the 160GB 5400rpm SATA Hard Drive you can store all your documents, photos, movies and music and along with the 10.1″ WSVGA (1024×600) LED Backlit Display With VGA Webcam and the Fast Ethernet, 802.11b/g/n Wireless you will be able to stay connected and do your work browsing the internet or even chatting with your family and friends. In what concerns the keyboard, it is very nice but it has its let-downs – between the keys there is not much space and you might find yourself correcting the typing errors, but aside of that, it is great, making little noise when used. All in all, this is the netbook with the best value on the market, just under $300.

Now that we have seen the netbook with the best value, let’s see the netbook with the best battery life, because we all now how plugging in, when traveling, gets – a little annoying, isn’t it? Well, the Asus Eee PC 1005PE Black Notebook has its price a little above $300, somewhere between $367 and $379. But it’s not the price we want to talk about; it’s about the netbook itself. Asus’ 6-Cell battery lasts up to 14 hours (!), which is totally awesome for someone who needs to do his/her work on a laptop and is always on the move. The new Intel ATOM N450 processor that runs on 1GB of RAM is also careful with the power consumption and the spacious 250GB hard drive allows you to store on it anything you need even if it’s for work or for mere pleasure. If the keyboard is great and easy to type, the touchpad is not as good as most, but it will do. Although its features are not extraordinary, its battery life and price make it a very buyable netbook and along with its small weight of 2.8 it sure is a very portable one.

These are only two of the netbook laptop computers that exist on the market, but there are plenty more. Some of them are best on the graphic department (like the HP Mini 311), some on the keyboard department (like Toshiba’s Mini NB305) and some are just for businesspeople always on the road (like the HP Mini 5120), but regardless of that, they all should have affordable prices and at least average performance for you to consider.
