Toshiba Satellite L635 is one of the best Toshiba laptops for work, fun and travel without any special effects on any domain. It is not ultra thin, neither ultra light nor super premium but on the other side it makes the job ok, it looks good and it comes with an accessible price. It weighs almost 2.1 Kg, the 13 inch screen is ok and it seems that it has incorporated optical unit too. With a processor Core i3 with 2.53 GHz frequency and 3 GH of RAM it should run perfectly next to the Windows 7 on 64 bits. So it really is a great laptop.

Toshiba Satellite L635 looks like a successor for our old Toshiba because it has almost the same sizes but it is with 15% lighter. There are only two things we did not like: the plastic is shiny and also leaves the impression of cheap. The keys on the keyboard are not very distanced so you won’t be typing too fast. In rest, nothing to say, a great laptop with a super price.

The new touch pad is a bit better and the big buttons are making it very easy to use in lack of a mouse. The battery lasts up to 3 and a half hours maximum. It’s not a great lifetime but it’s ok. The sound system is better than on the previous versions if you want to listen directly on the laptop.

We enjoyed the fact that it has the HDMI and eSATA ports and we also used the card reader. We are worried about the trend of lowering the number of USB jacks which is present to all the big producers. We did not like to carry an additional accessory only to have more USB jacks available. Toshiba Satellite L635 has only two USB jacks which are placed one near the other so if you have something to insert with a freaky shape near the USB jack, the second is not available anymore.
