I am sure that more than once, each of us said that he would be dead without internet connection. This is the reason why, many companies decided to facilitate our work and to produce laptop computers and special telephones with remote access available.

So, using Wireless Internet Access, is the well-known and the better choice. For instance, if you are in a hotel, all you have to do is setup the laptop to connect to a wireless network. There are many hotels that provide wireless Internet for free.

It seems that our needs for faster connectivity are in the same school with technology. Some years ago, it was hard to send a message to someone or to download something. Now, the things are changed. All the public institutions keep their documents in laptop computers, the meetings are made through web cam and students are sending their homework by email.

The remote access available for laptop computers is the key of the success. Further on I will write all types of internet connection. The first type is called Analogor dial-up access. All you need for this kind of connection, is a modem which must be connected to you laptop computer and the speed ranges from 2400 bps to 56 Kbps. The second type is called ISDN (Integrated services digital network) and the speed range from 64 Kbps to 128 Kbps. B-ISDN, the third type has the same function as ISDN, but the data is transferred through fiber optic telephone lines.

DSL, the 4th type, also named “always on connection”, uses 2-wire existing cooper telephone line (ADSL, ADSL+2, SDSL, VDSL). Connectivity through Cable is the 5th type and it is realized through a cable modem. On the 6th place presented is this article stands Wireless Internet Connections, the principle and best-known remote access available for laptop computers. In every restaurant or library there is Wireless in order to bring your laptop with you. You can work and meet your friends in the same time. All all this is possible with the radio frequency bands, used instead of cable network for internet connection. Wireless Internet means always-on connection and can be accessed wherever you want to as long as you stay in a better geographical area with network coverage.

The wireless access is difficult to be found in some areas, being available in the metropolitan areas. For further information, you can access the page of Webopedia, and read Wireless Networking Standards. The 7th type of connection is T-1 Lines, a lead line connecting to the Internet backbone. This kind of connection supports rates of 1.544Mbps. It has 24 channels and almost all the telephone companies permit you to achieve some of these channels.

The last three types of internet access are T-1 Lines, T-3 Lines and Satellite. The last (internet over satellite), is a type of remote access available for laptop computers and gives use the possibility to access the internet through satellite that orbits the earth. The satellite stands at a static point above the surface of the earth. Signal travels from the earth up to the satellite and back again.

We must be happy, the world it`s ours and we are living in a big and wonderful world! Nothing can stop us to do what we want to do in order to improve our business activities.
