There are many good producers of laptops on the market and here are some of the best brands: Hewlett Packard, Asus, Dell, Acer, Toshiba, Lenovo, Sony, Fujitsu, MSI and Apple. Each of these companies is offering a wide variety of laptops for the customers and each of the companies has some “premium” notebooks. And by premium we understand a laptop that offers high end performance for demanding tasks, a quality design with an upgraded aspect, a very good graphics engine, around 4 GB of RAM memory (or even more) to allow multitasking and for some of the models a Blu ray disc to allow watching movies in High Definition.

Since there are some premium laptops in the offer of each big company, and each model has its own positive and negative aspects, we can’t tell you for sure which is the best overall laptop of all. But what we can do is present to you two models of premium notebooks from 2 different producers, and see which is the best. We’ll choose 2 models that both have a 13.3 inch display screen. Both of them have an integrated webcam and wireless technology, but the HP also has a Bluetooth technology. This technology, combined with the 4 USB ports that it has (compared to 3 for the Toshiba) allow us to say that it is again a situation of equality. Both of the models have a HDMI port, a Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit operating system, and they are both Energy Star qualified.

So the overall situation makes us to say that in terms in technical details they are almost equal. The only difference remains at the price, and the Toshiba Satellite is 50 dollars cheaper. So this allows us to declare it the winner of this confrontation.

But personally I prefer to simply attach a mouse to the laptop, and not have to worry about the touchpad device.

To be able to store and copy your data easy, any good laptop must have at least 2 USB ports, a 5 in 1 card reader and of course an optical drive. The optical drives that are popular today are the DVD drives with Double Layer features, and the ones that are getting more and more popular are the Blu Ray disc drives. A Blu-ray disc not only that offers more space, but it is also specially made for the High Definition movies (which are also getting really popular these days).
