Multi-Touch Technology In Laptop Computers

Published by OnlyBestLaptops, on Sep 08 2010, in the categories: Purchasing tips

The future lies in your fingertips, multi-touch technology that began to slowly slowly conquering the market. Innovation in this area are still quite shy, but here are the guys from Cypress Semiconductor company are a step forward. They recently presented their new multi-touch technology that can recognize TrueTouch achieve up to 10 fingers simultaneously. By comparison, current multi-touch devices to handle only two pressure points, having problems as soon as the user enters a third point of pressure. Most of Cypress have solved the problem, or at least it shows using the tablet PC prototype 14-inch touchscreen shown in the video below. New technology TrueTouch copes perfectly with several pressure points (6 or 10) and, as declared by manufacturers, will be applied to various devices with screens between 7 and 17 inch. It is also compatible with the new operating system Windows 7. Unfortunately, nobody knows when will appear the first gadgets to use this technology.

Imagination is the first step towards innovation. Most of the Asus are very well proved that in this chapter and presented in the CES 2010 a line of products designed to provide Internet connection wherever you are. Waveface could mean redefining the computer world as we know it. But still there. Asus has presented three different gadgets, all very interesting and very original, but in the meantime remain pure theory. You can see how the video made by Asus.

Light is a tablet PC Waveface extremely thin and light. It can transform and laptops, due to flexible screen that can bend and on-screen keyboard. As for surfing the Internet, has the capacity of a normal computer. This gadget looks very interesting, but no other product in the series does not allow inferior.

Waveface Ultra is a computer / mobile phone that can be worn at hand because the flexible OLED screen or that of a bracelet if needed. And not only that strangeness: the gadget may be controlled by touching the display, and by simple gestures made by hand in the air.  The last product in the series is Waveface Case, a huge screen for home. It is actually a TV connected to the Internet. And it can be controlled by gestures made by hand in the air. As I said, none of these three do not exist. They are just ideas presented by Asus and may never reach the market.

One of two: either the FCC will ruin the plans of all manufacturers of portable, because the Commission's website all information about models appearing unannounced yet, or its benefit, because it is stir around future models still unannounced. Samsung X20, for example, is a mini laptop with the 10.1 inch screen and processor Pineview which was recently on a visit to the FCC.

The LCD screen has a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. In terms of technical specifications, Samsung X20 does not differ very much from the rest of the Pineview netbook sites already existing on the market: we have known the 1.66 GHz Intel Atom N450 staying near the video card Intel GMA 3150, RAM up to a 2 GB and 250 GB HDD (but probably there will be more options for storage space, including a 320 GB HDD). Otherwise, meet the usual connections, that is 802.11 b / g / n WiFi, Bluetooth and even HSPA 3G, a 1.3 megapixel webcam and a 4 or 6 cell battery.

In terms of design, mini laptop keyboard chiclet is quite tiny and lightweight, weighing only 1.2 kg (with 4 cell battery) and measuring about 17 cm x 28 cm. Will be equipped with Windows 7 Starter and instant-on system SmarTone 2.0.

According to information from the website committee, Samsung X20 will be released (do not know when and at what price) in several regions - U.S., Canada, Europe, Australia, China, India, Korea and Singapore. However, is expected to reach the market by February-March. It seems that there will be more models: X200, XB200, XD200 and XV200. Moreover, the X200 I've ever seen at CES 2010.

Touchscreen Notebook Computers

Published by OnlyBestLaptops, on Aug 17 2010, in the categories: General info, Purchasing tips

Laptop computers are nowadays a must have device because they can offer us many advantages. The most important advantage that a laptop has to offer is portability. Being able to carry our computer with us everywhere we go is an important thing. Nowadays there are out on the market many types of laptop having many sizes…

from the smallest to the biggest and from the less powerful to the last generation one. The last trend in laptop computers is to have one of the most recent launched touch screen laptops. The idea of touch screen laptops is quite new and in my opinion is was inspired by touch screen mobile phones that everybody wants one nowadays.

These touch screen laptops are almost the same with the classical ones. The only thing that is new is the touch screen. Using such a portable computer is just like using an iPhone because both function on the same criteria. HP announced their touch screen laptop computer at the end of 2008 in December. They called it the Touchsmart tx2. From the points of view of many critics and computer users, this laptop is a good one even though it works on touch screen.

A good thing about it is that is has the classical keyboard too in case you have to write a lot because the touch screen doesn’t offer you the same typing agility. HP Touchsmart tx2 starts from the price of 1.100 dollars and goes higher depending on your desired specifications. Its base configuration is a very good one and the built quality is good also. The Touchsmart tx2 comes equipped with Genuine Windows Vista® Home Premium 64-bit with Service Pack 1, an AMD Turion™ X2 Ultra ZM-82 processor, 2.20 GHz 2 MB L2 Cache, 4GB of DDR2 memory, 320 GB internal memory, CD / DVD drive, memory card device, wireless and Bluetooth, the display size is 12.1", ATI Radeon™ HD 3200 Video Graphics, and many other great specifications. All in all it has very good specifications and I am sure that it works just fine.

The only problem on this touch screen laptops market is that there are many people who just hate the idea of using a touch screen device. There just are not comfortable using one including myself. I can’t say I hate this kind of devices because I don’t… I just prefer using the keys in place of my fingertip. I don’t know how much success these laptops will have but I am sure that they will be bought in large numbers by many people across the world. In conclusion, touch screen laptops are a new thing for many of us and from my point of view, it will last a short period of time until people will buy them in large numbers.

How To Upgrade Laptop Memory

Published by OnlyBestLaptops, on Aug 17 2010, in the categories: Purchasing tips, Useful Info

A laptop computer is a personal device that is used most often by one person only. In our days, having a laptop is a must because we have to use it all the time and in every place we are. Laptop computers so searched and bought by many people because of their small sizes and high portability. The people who really are in need of such a portable computer are the students and business men.

They need one because they always are on a run and have different stuff to do. Business people need a laptop because they have to travel a lot and they must stay in touch with their work and to finish different projects not mattering they are on a bus, car or air plane. Students need laptops because they have to do different projects for school and they need them for entertainment too because they often listen to music, play different games and watch their favorite movies.

The laptop memory has many characteristics. It can be DDR3 memory or DDR2. Nowadays, most laptops run on DDR3 because this one is more powerful and gives your laptop a higher running speed. Below I have maid a list from the fastest to the slowest memory types in both formats, DDR3 and DDR2:

* DDR3 1333 / PC3-10600
* DDR3 1066 / PC3-8500
* DDR2 800 / PC2-6400
* DDR3 800 / PC3-6400
* DDR2 667 / PC2-5300 or PC2-5400
* DDR2 533 / PC2-4200
* DDR2 400 / PC2-3200

If your laptop computer is starting to be out of age, then you must reconsider changing it or improving your laptop memory. From year to year there are released many types of computer memories one having bigger ratings and values then the other. If you want to have a powerful laptop computer and to be up to date with all of its specifications, we must make an upgrade of its memory all the time. Recommended is that we upgrade our laptop every year. Of course, if you do not need more memory don't have to make the upgrade because it will not help you at nothing if you still need and run the same applications as before. In general, people will make an upgrade of their laptop memory because they want the best for their portable computer and they want to install different applications and games that require better memory specifications in order to work at their best.

All in all, the memory of your laptop can be upgraded and I strongly recommend that you do this from time to time because you will have better performance and all of your applications will run at their best, not mattering that they are programs in you have to work or last generation computer games.

How To Disassemble A Laptop

Published by OnlyBestLaptops, on Aug 16 2010, in the categories: General info, Purchasing tips

Buying a laptop computer is simple. You just go to the specialized store, search for the one that fits your needs the best, pay for it and bring it back home. Using it is even simpler... you just power it on and the fun begins. But most of us don't know what is what inside a laptop. Many of us get unlucky and our laptops break down and they aren't in warranty. The only thing we can do is to go to the nearest repair shop, leave it there and after a few days return and pay a large amount of money for the reparation. This solution doesn't make nobody happy because we have to spend our money. Most of us, when opening the case of the laptop and looking inside, don't know that are all of those in there. They are your laptop parts and you must handle them with attention in order not to break another one.

If you want not to spend a large amount of money on repairing it at a specialized repair shop, you can learn what part is what and for what they are built. Each part of your laptop computer is made for a different purpose and if one breaks down, they all stop from functioning. In this case is has to be changed.

There are two types of laptop parts: internal ones and external. The external laptop parts are the adapters (an adapter is a cable that you have to connect to the laptop and to a power source in our for the battery to charge and for the laptop to start working), batteries (you can buy an extra battery if you are a person who has to travel a large period of time and don't have a power source), external CD / DVD / floppy drives, keyboard and LCD screen and many others. These are the external parts of a laptop. They are many as you can see for yourself and you have to possibility to buy them part by part if you need them.

The internal laptop parts are the cooler (it helps your other parts stay cool and not overheat), the memory (RAM, Video RAM and other), the motherboard, and the processor. These are the main laptop parts that we find when opening up a laptop computer. Most of the internal parts are small chips that are connected into a certain slot.

If you know all of these main parts, you have the possibility to save some money because taking the laptop to a repair shop is very expensive. They can charge you for the new parts that they install and for the replacing too. I think that the best thing you can do when your laptop computer stops functioning right is to repair it yourself, but do not wait for its break down to learn all of these things.

The laptop computer is the greatest invention in IT in the latest period in my opinion. They are small, practical, easy to use and to carry around because they aren't heavy at all and laptop computers are even for some of us fashionable. The laptop is designed for personal and mobile use It is made out of all the parts that a classical desktop computer is made out of. This components include a display, a keyboard, a touch pad or by case a track pad, integrated speakers and a battery which practically gives life to laptop computers. You can use a laptop everywhere because it is small and quite easy to carry around with you. All laptop consumers can work in their device even in a park sitting down on a bench. Another big advantage of using a laptop is the quick access to any information you want. You can work on it even when you are in a bus or plane, but the only condition for doing this is to have the battery full.

As you can see, a laptop brings you many advantages but the most important one in my opinion is connectivity. Being a portable device means that you can carry it around with no problem and you connect to the Internet by using a wireless stick of by connecting to one of the many public wireless zones. Modern laptops are lightweight, light and slim. They are designed in a flip form factor in order to protect the screen and keyboard when nobody uses it especially if we own one of the best to buy laptop computers that are on the market. In the present day, almost all people want to know what are the best to buy laptop computers, because all of us want high performance.

From my point of view, the best laptop doesn’t exists because everybody has different preferences and based on that preferences they choose one. Some of us want our laptops to have different specifications depending on what they use it for. Some people use their computers for work and others for playing games and this two are very different because they demand special specifications.
