Many years ago it was a really big thing to have a computer, and it was even a bigger one to have access to the internet. Like in most of the netbooks, the display screen has 10.1 inches and it is a WSVGA LED backlit widescreen display with TruBrite technology and a 1024 x 600 resolution. So you won’t be able to watch movies at such a good quality but you will be able to browse the internet just fine. The processor is a basic Intel ® Atom ™ processor N 450 that features 512 KB L 2 cache and 1.66 GHz processor speed while the RAM memory has 1 GB of DDR 2 memory. Like any other netbook this one doesn’t have an optical drive, in order to reduce size, weight and power consumption. The hard drive is quite really good, and can be enough for most of the users, offering 250 of disc space and 5400 rpm. The graphics engine is also a simple but ok one, an Intel ® Graphics Media Accelerator 3150 with up to 384 MB dynamically allocated shared memory. Since it is mostly made for internet browsing, of course it has wireless connectivity (802.11 b / g / n) and also Built in 10/100 Ethernet LAN with RJ 45 connector for easy access to the internet.

And besides all of these features, it also comes with a built in webcam with microphone, 3 USB ports (and of course other ports that you might need) and a media card reader. Its battery is a 6 cell Lithium Ion battery, but it is not like the ones you find on the bigger laptops, because this one can last for up to 11 hours and 25 minutes (while a laptop battery usually lasts for just 4-5 hours).

It is also Energy Star qualified and comes with an installed version of the Microsoft Windows 7 Starter Edition and other software. So in conclusion it is one of the best cheap laptop computers that you can find on the market (as new, and with quite nice features).

Since there are so many laptop producers on the market, with so many models for each company, we can’t tell for sure who makes the best laptops. But what we can say are the names of the best notebook producers in the world: Hewlett Packard, Asus, Dell, Acer, Toshiba, Lenovo, Sony, Fujitsu, Alienware, MSI and Apple. Each of these company is offering many models of notebooks, with different features and technologies, with different sizes and prices.

Depending on what kind of computer activities you are planning to do, you can choose a specific model that will fit with your needs.
