The entire new Fujitsu Amilo Mini are black and white. Its lines are straight and corners are present everywhere. On the back, you can add a shell color, one delivered with the product is burgundy. Introduction, The Amilo Pi 2530-7002i is a 15.4-inch laptop with the relatively compact Centrino 2 Duo for a low price. However, despite performances that placed him among the best models in this price range, its equipment is relatively low.

Design and finishing, we find the simple design that characterizes the computers from Fujitsu-Siemens. Some will not hesitate to call despite the austere black lacquered edging adds a touch of elegance to cover gray. The finish is flawless, there is no gap between the elements, including the battery that fits snugly in place. The congestion is a typical 15.4-inch computer.

Ergonomics, the keyboard is comfortable with good sized buttons for a pleasant experience. The only significant deficiency, the Delete key is placed on the bottom right then we are more accustomed to find at the top. They get used over time.

The touchpad is also nice and clear. In fact, only fans are shortcut buttons to bother with a single touch direct access to the media player. However, the switch on the front that allows you to turn on or off at will the WiFi is appreciable.

Play. The X4500HD integrated chipset, gives a little more freedom compared to its predecessors. It is, however, not enough to play comfortably. Belonging to the category LifeBook, this model Fujitsu-Siemens signed primarily intended for professionals (in contrast to the series Amilo). This explains several technical choices very different from SZ1, but still very interesting as they move out of uniform standards on most consumer notebooks. It also remains in the same category of ultraportable as SZ1, by its size and its slightly larger screen.

Here, our main criticism goes to the rigidity of the chassis for improvement: whether at the screen or wrist is a bit disappointing and certainly well below the SZ1. The keyboard layout of the S7110 is quite good and fairly close to Sony: Ctrl and its proper place, Arr def keys, Esq Imp, Delete, and Pause are present. Yet, less than the width of this model has forced Fujitsu-Siemens to part with the last right column, whose keys are present, however, scattered between the first line and contours of the arrows. Only those differences in provision, the S7110 differs mostly by its smaller keys, and hit very firm and more acute. This is also quite subjective, but all the people we have asked for their opinion, has no preferred this keyboard than the SZ1, or some combination of an IBM Thinkpad.



The inset above incorporates a surprise, an LCD display. Very thin, it actually replaces the usual LED, since that is monochrome and can display some icons: AC power, battery status, keyboard locks, etc.. Original, but we prefer to use the conventional LED, much more readable (and who often remain after the screen closed, which is not the case here). Why not have taken the concept further and permitted to display text please enjoy a small color screen to liven up the playback of audio files, movies, etc.. ?  To the right of this display, there are 4 quick launch buttons configurable, and the start button.  The touchpad, though it rectangular, is fairly standard and overcomes 3 buttons: the left and right clicks, separated by the vertical scroll button, which seems more reliable than the traditional scroll area that must be guessed by placing his index on the right end of the touch region.
