Being a student, to have a laptop computer is a must because in this period you have to travel and work on different projects and a laptop is the perfect device. Most students don’t have a very high budget and some of them need to get a job in order to pay all the taxes and to have some pocket money too. Specialized stores that have laptop discounts for students are very popular because they offer good portable computers at lower prices and low prices are what all students want. When you are in collage, you realize that you have a lot of work to do in short periods of time and for finishing fast, a laptop is needed.

In my opinion, these discounts should be more diverse, not just for students. I admit that the initiative is great and they manage to offer us devices that we really need in our day to day activity, equipped with last generation technology and low prices. Stores should have different discounts for different products that are needed by different people. Old people should benefit of these kinds of discounts because some of them really need different last generation devices and they can’t afford it.



In our society, students have an important word to say about different actions because they practically are the future of the nation and they must have some benefits to make their work and life more easier. All in all, the stores that have laptop discounts for students are in great search because they manage to offer many last generation devices at lower prices and these lower prices are very important for a student that doesn’t have a high budget.11

Every student in my opinion needs a laptop because it can come in help in many daily actions of the student. Student laptops come in many ways like size, performance and especially prices and the prices are a very important factor for a student in deciding if to buy it or not. The most student laptops are used by other users throwing them away from diverse reasons. They are repaired if necessary, reconditioned, and given back again for sale .

You ask yourself where can you buy such a laptop ..well i have the answer . Pay attention at your university billboard because there are many announcements about a lot of activities you can participate. The place where you can find such a laptop is a student sale where many people come with their laptop or companies which gather this kind of laptops, and sell them again. Most of these electronic gadgets are soled at half price and in my opinion it`s a bargain.

These companies or people probably don`t realize how much help they offer students which come to buy one. A laptop for a student is indispensable because most of their work is made on their laptop. In the UK there are special to-buy websites for students with a large range of laptops, notebooks, iPod’s, and other must have accessories for students with prices you won`t believe. These websites were maid by other students which want to come in help of others knowing how is not to have enough money to buy a new computer directly from the store.



From such a website you can buy laptops, notebooks, printers, audio and visual accessories, LCD TV`s, computer hardware and software and even memory/storage. So you can see that practically you can find almost all you want , all a student wants and buy them at a very low price and some websites even offer you warranty. Incredible isn’t it?! Returning to the student laptops I have to add that these laptops even if they are purchased from various trade faires and specialized websites they may have different hardware or software problems or even not to work at all and these problems are crucial for a student if their product doesn’t have a warranty. This means that he throws away an significant amount of money which he can not recover and he is obliged to purchase another one. So the conclusion is that you take a risk when you purchase a used laptop or computer because you don`t know with what technical problems you will have to face.11

Before writing about laptop computers and computer academic libraries, I think it is appropriate to write something about academic libraries. An academic library is a big library which serves higher education institutions(college, university). The purpose of such a library is to support the academic curriculum and to support the research needed for a student in order to improve his academic situation. Usually, the support of teaching consists of papers, books, but, the time changed and now students have the possibility to learn with the help of laptop computers.

Nowadays, the most important places where we need laptop computers are the universities and academic libraries. Students always need to be connected to the Internet in order to succeed in doing their academic work. Also, there are many books which can be found in electronic format and could be easily kept it in your laptop computer and read whenever you want to. In a library you can easily connect to the Internet through Wi-Fi wireless connectivity available in many areas and almost 500 network jacks and electrical outlets for use with laptops. The connection to the wired or wireless network must be made after you have registered and configured your laptop computer in order to be recognized on the network. It also would be necessary a registration in the case you would like to print from your laptop computer.

Next, I will present to you some examples of laptop computers found in an academic library and which are just perfect for a student or teacher work. The first model of laptop is Acer TravelMate 3020 which was launched last year and has features that deserve being respected for. Its particular features are the various connectivity options that offer you the possibility to connect wherever you may be. The most simple definition for a laptop would be that it is  a portable computer. Normally, the laptops were made for those people who are traveling a lot, and they could really need to use a computer wherever they are going. One of the best target categories for laptops are the college students. And we are talking here about the students that are studying in a different city, rather than the one they live in. Whether if they are living close to that town and traveling every day, or they are going home once every week or 2 weeks, they are often traveling. So this means that they can use their personal computer just at the new location, and not be able to use it when they are coming back home.
