If you are not familiar with the notebook series from Asus, we inform you that the K series is by far one of the best laptop series. We can say from the beginning that the K series from ASUS is evolving visible from one generation to another in matter of the materials they used and the quality of the joints; the hardware part is naturally evolving so we won’t be so surprised by the fact that they are more and more performing. When we talk about design and the quality of the materials, the K53SJ model from ASUS is a pleasant surprise.

This ASUS laptop will be available in two different colors and textures on the exterior. The only minus it gets is for the shiny black plastic which surrounds the screen because it quickly gets filled with fingerprints and it’s hard to clean. We studied carefully the model for eventual problems in quality but no use.

Another positive element of the construction is the area where you rest your palms which is very generous in sizes offering comfort in intensive use. The touch pad is great, with a very fast cursor response. ASUS K53SJ has a screen which measures 15.6 inches which is good for a multimedia laptop and comes with LED technology. The colors are correctly displayed and the brightness is just perfect for using inside doors. In natural light you have reflection problems because the exterior layer of the display is a glossy one.

It also comes with the ALTEC Lansing sound system with the speakers positioned right on top of the keyboard. The web cam along with the incorporated microphone are standard. The notebook has wireless technology and Bluetooth 2.1 so you won’t have any problems with connectivity. The storage capacity is 500 GB with 5400 rotations per minute. In the HD Tune test it ran as we expected to with 61.5 MB/s transfer speed.

ASUS is fighting using top generation hardware with an i3 dual core processor from the second generation of Intel Core processors known under the name of Sandy Bridge. The integrated video card Intel HD Graphics 3000 works perfectly and ensures a low power consumption. We certainly won’t recommend you to buy this laptop if you are part of the ones who like to play the last appeared games, but still is one of the best laptops today.

Best Notebooks

Comparing the best laptop computers is a good idea when you are trying to buy a new laptop computer. I decided to write an article on comparing the best laptop computers. The models I chose are S X410 and Aspire One 531.

S X410, the latest addition to MSI at home, is a 14-inch notebooks, part of the X-Slim, which is characterized primarily for portability and the sleek design and straightforward. The model we’re going to review is white (White Blue) with attractive chrome blue at the edges of the case and touchpad. The first thing that strikes us is the design, soft, elegant and subtle.

Specifications

This notebook is equipped with AMD Athlon MV-40 1.66 GHz, 250 GB SATA hard drive, 2 GB DDR2 Ram. The operating system is Windows Vista Home Basic. The graphics is the ATI Mobility Radeon X1250 graphics chip, which controls an LCD screen 14-inch LED backlit WXGA resolution of 1366 × 768 HD. It has a 2.0-megapixel webcam. The equipment is completed by an SD card reader, VGA, Wi-Fi b / g / n, Bluetooth 2 USB 2.0 ports.

S X410 MSI X-Slim surely ranks among the best notebooks in its class try to stand out from the crowd of potential competitors with his vocation to save energy and its design. A thin notebook that weighs less, suitable to be easily transported from office to office or traveling. MSI X-Slim X410 will be available on the Italian market from next month. The price has not been English begins.

The Netbook Acer Aspire One 531 shows a brilliant design and straightforward. This is a good netbook. The Aspire One 531 is even lighter and thinner than the previous Aspire One. Indeed Acer has redesigned.

Display

The Netbook Acer Aspire One 531 has a display with 1024 x 600 pixels 10.1-inch LED technology. The display has a good brightness, for both with the Aspire One 531 working discreetly in the open. Obviously the screen netbook is not immune to glare. We express a negative note for the viewing angle of the display, not excellent either vertically or horizontally.

Performance and Hardware

This Netbook Acer Aspire One 531 offers good overall performance. In fact, the Windows XP operating system is quite fast thanks to Intel Atom N280 1.66 GHz In terms of graphics chip Intel GMA 950 offers a good solution.

The hard drive of this netbook is a Toshiba MK1652GSX 160GB, 5400rpm speeds. Only one slot for a memory module from 1024MB DDR2 Ram. Are supported up to 2GB of RAM. The Aspire One 531 weighs 1.2 kg lighter!

Acer Aspire One 531 netbook is a subtle and pleasing design, broken by the fact that the 6-cell battery comes out from the line of homes. A good netbook for the writer away from a work environment. Indeed the size of the buttons and keyboard (equivalent to 90% of a standard keyboard) allow you to type effortlessly.

Finally, a netbook with a good value for money but that remains in the ranks of its competitors because Acer does not have any substantial news on this model.

Best Business Laptops

When I first tested a MacBook (the unibody model launched in 2008) I was amazed by the design and quality of construction but, as a user of Windows, I encountered difficulties in adapting to the operating system platform Mac OS X.

Now, the interaction was more balanced. I can no longer deliver some superlative words about how good it looks and how compact it is, because the one released in 2009 is not much different from the version put on the market in 2008. Instead, I got used to the operating system and I can tell you in all sincerity that I like it more and more, every day. Do not get me wrong. The laptop is not perfect – neither in design nor in the hardware and the operating system. Therefore I started to write this review, to tell you about these little flaws – as well as about the strengths. Let’s start with design.

Imperfections for a perfect look

After I offered my eyes a treat by watching it and turning it on all sides, I found a few drawbacks. I was no adamantly looking for flaws or anything, I just noticed them as I was playing around with the laptop:

-the lower end of the keyboard ends at right angles, which causes you some discomfort because that is exactly where the wrists rest;

-when you hold it on your lap, the laptop heats up quite strongly on the left side which, again, is an element of discomfort. This happens because of insufficient ventilation. One ventilation port is located on the top edge just under the display. Hot air is discharged directly on frame, as well as on the screen. With older models, in time, this air started leaving some black marks on the computer in the hot air evacuation areas, but let us hope that this is not the case here, with this particular model;

-The computer has no status LED for the hard drive disk and wireless connections.

Some have criticized the keyboard (arrows and Enter crowded in small places), while others expressed their desire to buy the black version of the Macbook. Unfortunately, there is no black version for this computer. I personally am not bothered by the keyboard or the fact that it only comes in white. I am sure that only a small fraction of users would find these things as bothersome enough to be considered shortcomings.

Overall, the design is a 9 out of 10, and the only ones that can compete with the MacBook are the Sony Vaio laptops, and maybe Adamo from Dell, but the latter costs at least twice as much.

Let’s be clear: you cannot speak of the best business laptop computers without the MacBook Air, and the best business laptop computers get some fierce competition from this item, which is small, light, but extremely powerful and fun to use. Who could ask for more?
