Best Price Laptop

There are many companies that are producing notebooks these days, and some of the best in the world would be: Hewlett Packard, Asus, Dell, Acer, Toshiba, Lenovo, Sony, Fujitsu, Alienware, MSI and Apple. Each of these companies is offering many different models of laptops, with different features and different prices. The prices for a new laptop (including netbook) can range from as low as 300 dollars to as high as 2,000 dollars. There are different ways of defining the best price laptop.
A really cheap choice, with a very small price, would be to buy an used laptop. And if it is also an older model of laptop, you can probably get it really cheap, for around 100-200 dollars. But since it is old, it won’t have such good features, and it won’t work so well. Another cheap laptop solution would be to buy a netbook. Prices for netbooks can range between 300 – 500 dollars, so they are cheaper than the regular laptops, but they are also weaker in technical details. But they do have an advantage, which is the size. A netbook is much smaller and lighter than a laptop, so if size is an important issue for you, then you can choose a netbook. And finally a good deal on laptops would be to find a good model (a regular one or even a premium one) at a much lower price than usual. And for this you will need to make some research and search in many stores and websites.
So now let’s discuss more about quite a cheap laptop, that also offers pretty good features. And this is the Toshiba – Satellite Laptop with Intel ® Celeron ® Processor – Silver, Model: L 455-S 5000, which has a price of just 379 dollars at Best Buy. The features it has of course are not premium ones, but they are not bad at all. The processor is an Intel ® Celeron ® processor 900, which features an 800 MHz frontside bus, 1 MB L 2 cache and 2.2 GHz processor speed. So this might not be really powerful, but the RAM memory is very good – 3 GB of DDR 3 memory, just like you can find on much more expensive notebooks. The optical drive is nice as well and it is a Multiformat DVD ± RW/ CD-RW drive with double layer support, that records up to 8.5 GB of data or 4 hours of video using compatible DVD+R DL media (6x DVD+R DL; 6x DVD-R DL; 8x8x8 DVD+RW; 8x6x8 DVD-RW; 5x DVD-RAM; 24x24x24 CD-RW).

The display screen is a 15.6 inch TFT LCD High Definition widescreen display that offers TruBite technology and a 1366 x 768 resolution for great images. So you will be able to watch movies or play video games on this laptop, and you can store quite many of them thanks to the disc space of 250 GB. (and 5400 rpm).
The graphics engine is quite ok, and it is a Intel ® Graphics Media Accelerator 4500 M
With 128-1340 MB dynamically allocated shared graphics memory for intense detail. It also has a 3 in 1 media card reader (with support for Secure Digital, Memory Stick and MultiMediaCard formats) and 3 high speed USB ports. It comes with an installed version of the Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit and of course it also has wireless connectivity for easier access to the internet. It is Energy Star qualified and it also offers some software like: Toshiba Disc Creator and Adobe Acrobat Reader and 60 day trial of Microsoft Office Home and Student 2007 Edition. Here at Best Buy you can buy this model with a 1 year warranty, but this may differ depending on the store you get it from. It is not such a big model, and its dimensions are:
So as a conclusion it is a pretty good laptop, a budget choice for those who are not willing to spend 1,000 dollars or more for a laptop, and it will behave ok on most of the computer activities.

As long as you take your time to search for a laptop you are bound to find one at a good price. About 14 months ago I was looking for a laptop and I decided to buy the Toshiba L300-1AL which was priced at about $450. The model was brand new but I don’t think that Toshiba makes this model anymore. Anyway, it was a really good investment even if the unit is not very powerful. My laptop has an Intel Celeron M processor and 4 gb of ram plus a 250 hard drive and an integrated video card. It came with an included webcam and I love this feature. Never gave me any problems so far, except for the left touchpad button which has gotten pretty loose so I expect it to fall off anytime now. Toshiba laptops are great and most of them are really good models that you can really rely on.
