We all know how careless students are when it comes to their laptops. They put in their backpacks along with books, CDs, pens and other stuff that might hurt their laptops. This is why, below is a list of 3 of the best laptop computers for college students.

On the first place is Dell’s Studio 15 laptop, that besides of the fact that its design can be adjusted to a student’s preferences with some 5 colors and more than 200 unique designs, it also embeds a 15.4-inch LED backlit display with a native resolution of 1,440×900. On the performance department, the laptop includes a 2.1GHz Intel Core 2 Duo T8100 CPU that is powered by a 2GB RAM. Moreover, the 250GB hard drive is more than enough for a student to store his/her school papers, games, movies and music. The 6-Cell battery provides some 3-4 hours at minimum usage that is surfing the internet or writing papers while listening to music, which is reasonable for a laptop computer designed for students. The light weight is not only because of the improved features, but also because the Studio 15 has plastic accents that will provide some pressure elasticity if you drop it off your desk or something. The cost of this laptop is around $549, which is not even that much if you consider the features provided.

Second on the list of the best laptop computers for college students is the HP Pavilion dv2 that features the AMD Athlon Neo processor that has the power to handle Blu-Ray movies as well as to take you to all your games levels, without facing any problems. Its smooth with rounded edges compact design makes it easy for you to carry it around. Thanks to its magnesium-aluminum alloy chassis that is quite rigid, the laptop will survive any abuse it may be faced with when hanging in a student’s backpack. When writing a paper, a student will need silence around him and this will be provided by the keyboard that makes little noise and it is also very well constructed, with no place of bouncing. Also, the movies will look great on the 12.1″ WXGA glossy widescreen display that features LED backlighting and whose colors are vibrant and bright. The three USB ports and the media card reader are also found on this little but powerful laptop. Is true that the price is a bit higher than the above laptop, but at $750 the laptop really delivers.

The a USB 2.0 port, the headphone jack and a micro-DVI port that supports DVI, VGA, composite and S-video output can also be found on this great laptop and it also has the MagSafe power connection that was especially rebuilt to fit the slim MacBook Air.
