If you have been recently searching for a laptop of course many of your friends have recommended you the Dell brand because this is well known for reliability but having prices to match the performances. Now we will present you one of the best new laptops from the Vostro series.
Vostro is a series of low-budget laptops. Dell Vostro A860 is probably the cheapest Dell laptop. The first impression of course, by the design is that is a strong and simple one without any fancy elements; the Dell logo and the shiny areas are offering a touch of elegance. But this touch of elegance should not be there because is a magnet for fingerprints. Strong construction from good quality plastic and you really feel that you’re holding a brand in your hands.

The comfortable keyboard despite what others say, we did not find it very loud but the touchpad could have been a bit more on the right but its ok like this too. It has no multimedia buttons so the ones that use them will really miss then; the never use them so we’re glad we noticed that they’re missing.
It’s not very generous with the ports with only 2 USB ports, a RJ-45 network port, microphone, VGA and audio out. But we like the fact that it has a card reader so the camera is not occupying an USB slot.

When talking about performance, Dell Vostro A860 will not disappoint you because it has a great processor from Intel, a Core 2 Duo T5870 with 2 GHz frequency along with 2 GB of memory and a storage capacity of 250 GB. The laptop we had was on Windows 7 and it ran great. It starts in only few seconds and it runs great Adobe Photoshop, Google Chrome with lots of opened tabs, instant messaging and many others. We tested it for 3 days and we had no errors or freezes.
The hard drive is a pretty silent one, it does not make a massage when you start a movie but the cooler is loud in some moments. The laptop does not work as a fire place; it heats up but it’s ok.
