Lenovo Thinkpad X201S sure has been a great surprise when we saw it in your hands. It came inside a pretty big box despite the fact that it is a 12.1 inch mini laptop. When we opened the box we noticed that it does not come alone; Thinkpad X201S comes along with a Lenovo dock station to complete the netbook because it is equipped with a DVD Writer, 4 USB ports, the power jack, the VGA for video, a network port RJ-45, a security and locking system and it also has a special space for the additional battery.

This great accessory is very useful, the mini laptop just snaps into it with the help of a connecting slot and it is very light, along with the Lenovo laptop it weighs about 2 Kg. In this box you also find a set of keys and the user guide. With the keys you can lock the mini laptop with the dock station. We remarked some improvements on the design with the fingerprint reader evolving a bit and it allows the users to start the device and login with only their fingerprint; the existence of an USB port for charging batteries for other gadgets even when the system is off or in stand-by.

Related to the design, the Thinkpad series is not so great but we like it because it is a classic, the netbook having a compact shape. The small modifications we noticed on the keyboard also. It looks the same as on the X200 model only that the Enter key is bigger; the directional keys were not impressive because they are too small. As Lenovo got us used with, this screen can be opened up to 180 degrees thanks to the special hinges. The image is good, clear and with pretty good viewing angles but which are a bit smaller than on the glossy displays.
