As for the design, both of the laptops look simple and elegant, so here none of them has a bigger advantage. As you can notice from the technical details the processor of the Toshiba laptop is just a little better than the one on the HP (it is a P 7450 processor @ 2.13 Ghz instead of a P 7350 @ 2 Ghz. The RAM memory is the same at both models (4 GB of DDR 2 memory) so this means that so far they are almost equal. But the first major difference between these 2 models is at the hard drive. The Toshiba Satellite has a much better one, with 500 GB of disc space, instead of just 320 GB for the HP model.

So that means that the score now is 1-0 for Toshiba. In terms of the display screen, these 2 models are also equal, both having a widescreen of 14.1 inch. And the resemblances go on, and both of the models come with a DVD±RW DL Drive, a built in webcam, a wireless connectivity and a media card reader. And even the graphics engine is the same (a Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500 MHD). So far we have the slightly better processor, and the better hard drive for the Toshiba laptop. But this one also has a better battery (8 cell Lithium Ion battery instead of one with 6 cells for the HP) and it comes with an installed version of Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit, unlike the HP that comes with an older version – Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium 64 bit. So with these things said, we can definitely declare the Toshiba Satellite E 105-S 1802 the winner in this battle, with a very good overall score of 4 – 0. So in case you ever wondered which laptop to choose between these 2, now you know the answer to the question. Have a nice day!
