When it comes to buying a laptop, the first thing we look at is the price, and what better way to start your shopping day but with a healthy discount, especially in these harsh economic conditions. Perhaps an Adamo 13 looks great but is a bit expensive for the pockets of many users. So those from Dell have decided to sacrifice a little bit of technical performance so that they will make the Adamo Admire more cheaper, bringing it to only 999 dollars. Not impressed by the price? Not even if I say that Adamo Desire can be bought for $1,799?

Adamo Admire is more delicate when it comes to components, but does not mean that we do not have anything to watch. We are talking about an Intel Core 2 Duo 1.4 GHz processor, 2 GB of RAM (DDR3) and a 128 GB SSD hard drive for storage. It works with Windows 7 Home Premium. Ten months ago, when it was released for the first time, this laptop cost 1999 dollars, fact that makes the $1000 reduction a good reason to make this laptop one of the best discounted laptops out there.

Other technical specifications for Adamo Admire include: a 13.4 inch display, a full size backlit keyboard, an integrated 1.3 megapixel webcam and digital microphone. It also features the usual three USB 2.0 ports and Gigabit LOM connections, Bluetooth 2.1, Wi-Fi 802.11n. The battery life can be up to 5 hours while browsing the internet or chatting. This notebook measures 33.1 cm x 24.2 cm x 1.64 cm and weighs 1.81 kg.

By comparison, Adamo Desire stands slightly better, with an Intel Core 2 Duo 2.1 GHz, 4 GB RAM and 256 GB SSD storage. This system also got cheaper, initially being pricet at 2299 dollars.

The two new gaming laptops from Dell, Alienware M15x and M17x can also be found at the “discounted laptops” category and, have also been equipped with new processors from Intel. Thus, for these laptops with displays of 15.6 and 17 inches respectively, we can talk about a choice between dual-core processors Intel Core i5-520M, i5-i7-540M and the 620M or Quad core Intel Core i7-720QM, i7 – 820QM and i7-920XM.

The models can also be equipped with a “user choice” video card. Alienware M15x is available for either a NVIDIA GeForce 240M GT (with 512 MB memory) or a GeForce GTX 260mA (with 1GB memory). In the case of Alienware M17x you can choose between a 260mA GTX, GTX 280m (1 GB) or a ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4870 (1 GB) video card. If we talk about their price tags, these systems cost “only” $ 1199 for the M15x and 1799 dollars for the M17x. Happy buying!
