The computers had known a huge evolution during the last decades, and today they had become very complex devices capable of complex tasks. But the desktop computers are not so popular these days, and this is because they are slowly replaced with a new category – the laptops. These are portable computers, and they are getting more and more demanded by customers. The best thing about a laptop is its portability…so you can take it wherever you want. First the laptops were mostly used by business men and they were taking them while traveling and they were able to take care of their business problems no matter where they were. But in time more and more people began to buying a laptop, no matter what age or job they had.
There are many producers of laptops such as: Hewlett Packard, Acer, Dell, Asus, Toshiba, Apple, Lenovo, Sony, MSI and Fujitsu. Hewlett Packard is among the best in the world. The company’s products are famous all over the world, and they had received reviews from most of the professional magazines and sites. PC Mag (with the site pcmag.com) is one of them and it is actually one of the best sites that gives professional reviews about computer and internet products. And for today we are going to discuss about a PC magazine review of a Hewlett Packard notebook computer. And we’ll choose the review of one of the best 17 inch laptops, the HP Pavilion DV 7-3183 cl.

As you can see this is quite a good looking laptop, that also has good characteristics. Usually if you want to buy a laptop for under 1.000 dollars you will have to choose between good speed and processor power or a large widescreen display. But the HP Pavilion DV 7-3183 cl, that has a price of exactly 1.000 dollars is offering a good mix between good performances and a 17.3 inch display. Beside the good quality of the image, this laptop also offers a pretty good sound quality, thanks to the Altec Lansing integrated speakers. It also a features a full size keyboard, a numerical keypad and a touch pad. It weighs about 7.5 lbs, so it is not quite as portable as other laptops of this size. It is recommended to use it on your desk, or take it in your bed next to you but of course if it’s really necessary you can carry it with you and use it on the road.

The processor of this laptop is the brand new Intel Core it M 430, which is one of the best processors for laptops on the market right now. It has a speed of 2.27 Ghz and the RAM memory for this notebook is 4 GB. The hard drive offers plenty of space to store all sorts of files, and it has a capacity of 500 GB. It also comes with an installed version of the Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium Edition 64 bit operating system. As we said the display screen is a widescreen one that has a diagonal of 17.3 inches and the graphics card is a good one too – the NVIDIA GeForce G 105M. the optical drive is a DVD + / -RW (Plus Minus) and of course it has both wireless and Ethernet connectivity for easy access to the internet
So here was a short review of one of the best 17 inch laptops made by HP. In case you already used this model, we invite you to tell us all your opinions about it, whether if they are good or bad ones. Have a nice day!
